Located in Del Mar, California, Ranch & Coast Plastic Surgery is the practice of Dr. Paul Chasan, one of Southern California’s most respected and sought-after plastic surgeons.
As the practice continued to grow, Dr. Chasan engaged Irwin Raymond to redesign the first floor of his standalone clinic—transforming an outdated environment into a refined, hospitality-driven destination that reflects the elevated nature of his brand and patient experience.
The goal was to create a space that feels both timeless and unforgettable—an environment that reinforces trust, credibility, and emotional comfort from the moment patients arrive.

The Design Solution
The redesigned environment blends boutique hospitality influences with contemporary architectural expression.
A defining feature of the project is the sculptural parametric ceiling, which creates a dynamic focal point and reinforces the identity of the space. This architectural gesture transforms the arrival experience into something memorable and emotionally impactful.
The interior palette is intentionally monochromatic, allowing subtle variations in texture, light, and material to define the space. This restrained approach creates an atmosphere that feels both modern and timeless.
Hospitality-inspired reception and waiting areas introduce warmth and comfort, helping patients feel relaxed and confident throughout their visit.
